Vigil for victims of sexual abuse

On Sunday, 23 November 2025, at 3 pm, the Diocese of Antwerp will organise a vigil in the cathedral for victims of sexual abuse in the Church.

When Brokeness Finds a Voice 

A place where testimonies are heard – in words, images, colours and shapes – interspersed with silence, singing, music and prayer. This vigil is for all victims/survivors of sexual abuse in the Church and beyond, as well as family and friends who suffer with their loved ones, and anyone – religious or not – who wants to show support and commitment. Welcome via the main entrance on Handschoenmarkt.

Singing together connects

For this vigil, a special choir will be formed of and for victims/survivors, family & friends, believers & sympathisers, with one rehearsal on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Theological Pastoral Centre (TPC), Groenenborgerlaan 149, 2020 Antwerp.
