Poetry from 'De Plek'

Bistro De Plek in the cathedral owes its name to the poem of the same name by Herman de Coninck, one of Flanders' most widely read poets. On Friday 22 May 2026, the anniversary of Herman de Coninck's death, Kristien Hemmerechts will recite his most beautiful poems in the cathedral at 8 pm. Organist Peter Van de Velde and oboist Bram Nolf will provide the musical accompaniment.

Tickets costing €20 are available in the cathedral shop, in advance and on the day itself.
