AFRANT Day

This year, AFRANT Day is on Sunday, 19 October 2025.

From 11.30 am to 4 pm, you can enjoy the atmosphere and conviviality within the walls of the cathedral, the church building, De Plek bistro, the chaplain's sacristy and the inner courtyard, savour delicious snacks or lose yourself in the rhythm of a real djembe workshop! All revenue from this day will go to AFRANT.

AFRANT is the development initiative of Antwerp Cathedral with growing ambitions: to increase brand awareness and the circle of donors. By visiting our AFRANT Day, you too can make a contribution. Because AFRANT exists thanks to the solidarity of many people! 

PROGRAMME AFRANT Day 2025
➡️10 am Fam­Cat cel­e­bra­tion with fo­cus on AFRANT
➡️11.30 am Lec­ture by An Dewachter on pro­jects in Burk­ina Faso
➡️11.30 am Chil­dren's craft time (un­til 12.30 pm)
➡️12.15 pm Djembé ses­sion with Samuel Veke­mans (un­til 1 pm)
➡️1 pm Sec­ond lec­ture by An Dewachter (only if there is suf­fi­cient in­ter­est)
 

AFRANT Day is free for residents of the province of Antwerp. Other visitors only pay the regular entrance fee for the cathedral.
