Le Chemin de la Croix for organ by Marcel Dupré (1886-1971) is a unique musical meditation on the Stations of the Cross. Dupré was known for his improvisations. “His collaboration on Paul Claudel’s 14-part ‘Le Chemin de la Croix’ recitation led to Dupré publishing the musical accompaniment. The words are an extension of the musical meditation: an integrated whole.
